INKer's March Challenge

Your Discovery of Papertrey Ink?
With Papertrey Ink not being in any store, it is not as if we found it on the shelf at our local LSS. There is a story behind our discovery of it's existence. Granted some of us may have been PTI fans for four years, but still there is a story to tell. And I think each is worth telling. So what opened your eyes to Papertrey Ink? With all the products out there, something drove you to search them out. What was it?
For me it was this card on the Two Peas and a Bucket website Forum that drove me to search out Papertrey Ink. I loved the clouds and the sentiments, and just about everything about it. So my first order at PTI included the stamps and dies for "Up Up and away" and I was hooked.... oh yeah and I had to run out and buy a Big Shot to boot.
This challenge has several layers to answer throughout the month of March:
1)Tell your story of how you discovered Papertrey Ink (the trigger).
2) Using (the trigger) make a project for each of the March Make it Mondays.
3) Now that you've fallen back in love with your first love of PTI, use (the trigger) to showcasing the PTI Blog Hop Challenge this March.
I hope I have you thinking of all the different things you can do with your first PTI Love.
As I've mentioned before my (trigger) was "Up Up and away" Dies. So here are a few cards I made a couple of months ago (before copics).

Here is the card I made yesterday, playing with my new Copics and a few other PTI goodies ;)

Hope you enjoy the Challenge!
Post yours Here:

  1. Not so sure I have a "trigger". I can't quite recall, but I think I saw PTI mentioned on Splitcoast Stampers...can't even recall my first stamp set. This is going to make me think.....

  2. Debra... My hope here is to get each of us to remember why you found PTI. It doesn't have to be a particular stamp set. It is so easy with all the wonderful new stuff that comes out, for our older items to collect dust on the shelf. My idea was to get each of us to use our older items. There are a lot of other stamp companies out there, but you have chosen to spend your hard earned money on PTI. I hope that through this month of challenges we get to know each other more and why we are drawn to PTI. Does that help?

  6. Oh yes, My trigger.... Can I say Betsy Veldman?
I found PTI through the Cricut Circle forum, and I fell in love when I saw Betsy's projects... I was particularly enamored by her Friendship Jars project.

  7. I just posted and used the little Mr Linky to connect my project. I have to say I'm not too impressed with the link, I'll look into upgrading it, or changing settings. Anyone have experence with this?

  8. Danielle, I would have never guessed that you are inspired by Betsy's work ;) You do amazing work and I wouldn't be surprised if the inspiration goes both ways.

  12. I posted a sample on my blog but I don't think it really qualifies, since I kind of did it after the fact (after the March PTI blog hop, anyway). Still, I'd appreciate it if you would look it over--thanks for the inspiration!
